About

The Christian Campus House (CCH) began in August 1968, as the fulfillment of a dream of several Christian men in Columbia, MO. CCH was one of the first such student groups on the University of Missouri campus.

Who We Are…

The Christian Campus House is a non-denominational campus ministry at Mizzou which offers opportunities for students to grow deeper in their faith. The staff and students of CCH desire to meet people where they are in their faith, whether merely seeking answers to questions or desiring to grow deeper in their knowledge of God.

CCH also offers housing for students who wish to share in a Christian atmosphere of friendship, encouragement, and support. CCH is a recognized student organization on the MU campus and a member of the Association of Campus Ministries (ACM). Though centered at the Mizzou campus, involved students may attend any of the colleges in Columbia and Moberly. We not only provide housing, but also offer a variety of opportunities for students to get involved including: A midweek worship service on campus called The Well, student service opportunities, small groups Bible studies, retreats, mission trips, and much more!

In short, CCH at Mizzou exists not only to conserve the faith of Christian students, but to help them leave with a stronger faith than when they arrived at college.

Our Beliefs

We Believe that God is Real.

He is one God, expressed as God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:16 &17, 45; 6:1, 4, 8, 9; James 1:17/John 1:1; 14:9; Genesis 1:2; John 4:24; 14:16-20; 2 Peter 1:21).

We Believe that the Bible is True.

The Bible consists of God-inspired autographs (original writings) that have come to us without error (Mark 12:36; John 14:26, 16:12-15; Acts 1:16; I Corinthians 2:12-13; 2 Timothy 3:14-16; 2 Peter 1:20-21).

It is the final authority for all matters of faith and practice (Isaiah 40:8; Matthew 5:18, 24:35; Romans 15:4; Hebrews 4:12).

We Believe that Jesus is Alive.

He was born Jesus of Nazareth, fully human and fully divine, conceived of the Holy Spirit and the virgin Mary (Matthew 21:11; John 19:19/John 1:14; Romans 5:15-17; Colossians 2:9; I John 1:1/Matthew 1:18; Luke 1:26-38).

He died and was buried, and who rose again bodily from the dead on the third day (Luke 23:44-24:8; John 20:24-29; I Corinthians 15:3-8).

He ascended into Heaven and now sits at the right hand of the Father (Luke 22:69; Acts 1:1-9; Colossians 3:1).

He will return to earth to judge both the living and the dead (Matthew 24:36-42; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:10-11; I Peter 4:5).

We Believe in Our Purpose.

Our purpose is simple: Honor God. Love People. We aim to love people by reaching out to them to show them God’s love, by pouring into them through our service ministries and meeting them where they are, but not leaving them there. We desire to honor God through our worship services, Bible studies, prayer times, and essentially, everything we do.

Our goal is to be on campus, on purpose and to be aware of the people around us that we interact with on a daily basis. We aim to show them the love we have found in Christ.
