“Jesus is Alive”

Today, the message, “Christ is risen indeed”, is obscured by eggs and bunnys, contradicted by humanism, Darwinism, Islam and secularism, but it remains the central fact that separates Christianity from all the man-made,  Satanically-inspired religions that are professed in the world.

A few years ago, while talking with a Muslim friend, he noticed that my t-shirt said, “God is Real, The Bible is True, Jesus is Alive.” He said, “That’s wonderful.  We believe that as well.”  Later he went with me to a depiction of the resurrection story.  He told me, “I can agree with everything said tonight except for the statement, ‘Jesus died for me.’”  Written six centuries after Jesus’ death and resurrection, the Quran denies that Jesus died.  The writer of the Quran realized that without His death, there could be no resurrection.  As Christians, we have to echo the words of Paul. in I Cor. 15:14 “And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.”

Christianity is the only “religion” that is based upon a historical fact.  That fact is that Jesus’ body died.  His body remained dead during part of Friday, all of Saturday, and part of Sunday.  Then his body came back to life, never to die again.
While this was a surprise to even his closest followers, it shouldn’t have been.  God prophesied that this would happen beginning with telling Satan that the offspring of a woman would ”crush” his head.  Jesus told his disciples,  “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”
